The Most Expensive Rolex Watches Ever Sold
Publish date
November 8, 2019
There’s no doubt about it, Rolex reigns supreme in the world of highly sophisticated luxury wristwatches. The Swiss watchmaker has perfected the art of crafting timepieces of exceptional beauty and unrivaled quality, built to endure a lifetime of wear. In addition to designing top-of-the-line timepieces, Rolex boasts a long and fabled history, and a lengthy list of celebrity clients who became brand loyalists. It’s no wonder Rolex watches tend to come with an eye-popping price tag.
Purchasing a Rolex from a retailer is one thing, but the priciest Rolex watches tend to be found at auction. This is where devoted collectors gather to try their luck at acquiring the rarest, most phenomenal Rolex watches ever created. Without further ado, these are the 10 most expensive Rolex watches ever sold.
10. Steve McQueen’s 1967 Rolex Submariner
During the 1960s and 70s, Steve McQueen was one of Hollywood’s highest paid actors, nicknamed the “King of Cool” for his effortless style and sophistication. Whether impressing audiences on the silver screen or posing for fashion’s most famed editorials, McQueen embodied a signature style all his own. The watch of choice for Hollywood’s leading man? Rolex, of course! A vintage 1967 Rolex Submariner to be exact. The Reference 5512 was first produced in 1959, and was very similar to contemporary versions of the Submariner. The most obvious difference was the absence of a date indicator. This watch doesn’t boast any intricate bells or whistles, so its value was based entirely on its famous owner. Selling for a cool $234,000 in 2009, Steve McQueen’s Submariner was the first of many Rolex watches to command an extravagant price at auction.
9. Rolex Platinum Diamond Pearlmaster
Released as a limited edition model in 2011, the Rolex Platinum Diamond Pearlmaster is a glittering emblem of quality and craftsmanship. The watch’s dial is made of meteorite diamond, and boasts a bezel fitted with 42 breathtaking baguette diamonds. Pair this with platinum and you’ve got yourself a fairly pricey timepiece. Upon its unveiling, the Platinum Diamond Pearlmaster cost $277,850, and has proven to retain much of its value thanks to its premium materials.
8. 1972 James Bond Rolex Submariner
Everyone’s favorite super spy has sported several luxury watches, from Rolex to Omega and everything in between. But, few Bond watches are as famous as the Rolex Submariner Reference 5513, worn by Roger Moore in Live and Let Die in 1973. Moore’s exact model sold at auction in 2015 for an astonishing $365,000, solidifying its status as an iconic timepiece. The watch was heavily modified specifically for the film, equipped with a circular saw bezel, and a “magnetic field” generator that could unzip women’s dresses. Thanks to many modifications, the watch could no longer tell time. But that didn’t stop it from selling for a staggering price. Besides starring in a blockbuster Hollywood film, this Submariner is signed by Sir Roger Moore himself, a fact that undoubtedly added to its value.
7. Dr. Rajendra Prasad’s Gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual
What makes the Rolex brand so special is its universality. Their products are revered by the most affluent among us, from CEO’s to celebrities, and even world leaders. One such individual, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, was a scholar, educator, and lawyer, and was elected as India’s first president in 1950. As an inauguration gift, Prasad received a remarkable Rolex watch, one of only two timepieces commissioned by the brand. This Gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual includes personalized hallmarks, including a map of India on the dial, and a notation of India’s first constitutional day, January 26, 1950. While Sotheby’s estimated the watch’s value at $444,000, it never actually sold for that price. It was set to be auctioned when the Indian government intervened, claiming the watch had been stolen from Prasad’s family. An investigation ensued, and Sotheby’s was forced to postpone the sale.
6. Rolex GMT Master II Ice
As if the Platinum Diamond Pearlmaster weren’t dazzling enough, Rolex truly outdid itself with the GMT Master II Ice. Upon its unveiling, the watch retailed for an astounding $485,350, making it one of the brand’s priciest offerings. Every inch of this eye-catching watch is covered in gorgeous, glittering diamonds, including the bracelet and dial. Living up to their legacy, Rolex only produces timepieces of the utmost quality and beauty, and the GMT Master II Ice is just one gleaming example of their superb standards.
5. Eric Clapton’s Rolex “Oyster Albino” Cosmograph Daytona
When it comes to collectible Rolex watches, few are as elusive as Eric Clapton’s Rolex “Oyster Albino” Cosmograph Daytona. The Reference 6263 is just one of four models ever produced, making this Rolex watch incredibly hard to come by. What makes this piece unique are the silver chronograph totalizers that match the watch’s silver colored dial, hence the “Albino” nickname. Typically, the Reference 6263 has black chronograph totalizers to create contrast, though this particular model was a rare exception. Thanks to its legendary owner, Eric Clapton’s watch sold for an astronomical figure not once, but twice. It was originally auctioned at Sotheby’s for $505,000 in 2003, and later sold again in 2015 for $1.4 million. Talk about a return on investment!
4. 1942 Rolex Antimagnetique
The most treasured Rolex timepieces are those that’re found in short supply! One of these finely crafted watches, the 1942 Rolex Antimagnetique, is a cult classic that any Rolex collector would be thrilled to get their hands on. This vintage collection was not available to the general public, and consisted of only 12 watches that were gifted to select racing teams and drivers. What distinguished the Rolex Antimagnetique was its 44mm dial, which was considerably larger than the average watch dials of the time. In fact, the Antimagnetique is still the largest watch ever produced by the Swiss brand. It’s also one of the most expensive, most recently selling at auction in 2016 for a cool $2,400,000.
3. Bao Dai Rolex
A Rolex that once belonged to royalty is sure to come with a sky-high price tag, which is exactly the case for the Bao Dai, reference 6062. Outfitted with a jet black dial and diamond indexes, the Bao Dai Rolex was genuinely one-of-a-kind. This treasured timepiece belonged to the last Emperor of Vietnam, Bao Dai, known for his extravagant taste and penchant for finer things. The watch features a yellow gold triple calendar and moon phase indicator that make it even more alluring to collectors. The watch first sold at auction in 2002 for $235,000, and again 15 years later for $5.1 million. It just goes to show how much a rare Rolex watch can truly be worth!
2. 1971 Rolex Daytona “Unicorn”
Unlike many of the other models on this list, the famed Rolex Daytona Reference 6265 is prized for its design and craftsmanship, rather than storied ownership. Known as the “Unicorn” Daytona, this mythical timepiece is the only one of its kind to be crafted from 18k white gold instead of the traditional stainless steel or yellow gold. Another unique feature of this watch is its metal bezel which is higher in quality than the original acrylic material used for most Daytona’s. Thanks to its peculiar design, the Rolex “Unicorn” sold at auction for $5.9 million in 2018, making it the second most expensive Rolex watch ever sold. The watch was listed by famed collector, John Goldberger, who donated the proceeds from the sale to charity.
1. 1968 Paul Newman Rolex Cosmograph Daytona
It may come as a surprise that the most expensive Rolex ever sold is not particularly rare, nor does it have any distinguishing design elements or complications. Rather, what gives this Rolex watch its iconic status is its legendary former owner. Paul Newman was a famous actor and race car driver whose name has become somewhat synonymous with the Daytona. When Newman first launched his professional racing career, his wife gifted him with a Rolex Daytona purchased from Tiffany & Co. in New York. She had the watch engraved with the message “Drive Carefully Me.” Newman wore the watch every day for many years before gifting it to his daughter’s then-boyfriend. The watch was only rumored to have existed before resurfacing at auction in 2017, where it sold for a jaw dropping $17.8 million. It’s out-of- this-world price tag makes the Paul Newman Daytona the most expensive Rolex watch ever sold.

Your watch needs winding
The most common reason why your Rolex watch may not be keeping accurate time is that it needs winding. While most modern Rolex watches have perpetual movements, meaning that they wind automatically with the motion of your wrist, you will still have to wind your watch occasionally, especially if you haven’t worn it for a while.
You have broken parts
If you’ve tried winding your Rolex and it’s still not working properly, you may be dealing with a loose spring or a broken part inside the watch. If you fail to feel any strain while winding the crown, that may be an indication that the main spring is loose and needs to be retightened by an experienced jeweler.
How do I wind my Rolex?
Luckily, winding a Rolex watch is a fairly simple process. The following procedure will work for most self-winding models:
- First, locate the crown of the watch (it’s typically located at the 3 o’clock marker).
- Use your fingers to turn the crown toward you (counterclockwise) until it pops out.
- Rotate the crown away from you (clockwise) around 30 to 40 times.
- Return the crown to its original position by screwing it down tightly to prevent impairing the water-resistance of your watch.
Regular winding will improve the accuracy of your Rolex watch, making sure it keeps time properly. Even though it’s not unusual for watches to lose or gain a couple of seconds every day, COSC states that a high-quality watch shouldn’t gain more than six seconds or lose more than four seconds in a day. If your watch is less accurate than that, it may be time for an overhaul.

Taking Care of Your Rolex Watch: Tips & Tricks
Publish date
September 19, 2019
Rolex watches are made to last. Nevertheless, your luxury watch will still need a little bit of maintenance to keep its luster and value over the years. That’s why we have prepared a set of great tips to help you take care of your Rolex watch and keep it in perfect running condition.
Proper maintenance and regular servicing are necessary if you want to make sure your Rolex timepiece lasts a lifetime. However, it’s essential that your Swiss-made watch is serviced by a seasoned and certified watchmaker. At Leo Hamel’s, our certified watchmaker employs the utmost precision and skill to service your watch and uses only original parts for your Rolex repair in San Diego if your Rolex has stopped working.
How do I maintain my Rolex?
The quality and durability of Rolex timepieces are undeniable. After all, it’s precisely what the Swiss-made watches are known for. Still, you should make an effort to clean and maintain your Rolex regularly.
Here’s how you should wash your Rolex watch:
- Before you start, make sure the crown is screwed tightly to the case to prevent any water from getting in.
- Mix some warm water and mild soap into a bowl and wash your watch by gently rubbing the soapy water into the surfaces of your Rolex.
- You can also use a soft-bristle toothbrush to get into small crevices and clean between the links.
- Gently dry off your watch with a soft microfiber cloth, making sure no traces of soap are left.
In addition to washing your Rolex, you can also keep your watch running smoothly by adhering to the following maintenance tips:
- Preserve its shine by cleaning it with a dry cloth every once in a while.
- Keep your Rolex in the original box when you’re not wearing it.
- Make sure to keep your watch away from direct sunlight.
- Don’t attempt to open your watch yourself to avoid scratches.
- Keep perfume and lotion away from your Rolex.
How often should I have my Rolex serviced?
The final and possibly the most important Rolex maintenance tip is to have it serviced by an experienced watchmaker. The frequency of service will depend on the age of your watch:
- Your Rolex is new. Typically, new Rolex watches don’t require servicing unless they are damaged or aren’t working properly.
- Your Rolex is more than 5 years old. The moving parts of your watch should be serviced every 3-5 years to maintain proper running condition. A complete service overhaul is recommended if the watch is more than 7 years old.
- Your Rolex is vintage. Vintage Rolex watches shouldn’t be serviced unless they are in very poor condition. If you do choose to have your Rolex serviced, make sure to find a watchmaker who is experienced in dealing with vintage watches.
In any case, you shouldn’t have your Rolex timepiece serviced by just any watchmaker. To avoid damaging and decreasing the value of your watch, you should only bring it to certified Rolex watchmakers who are expertly trained to service and repair your timepiece by following rigorous standards proposed by the American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute.

The Complete Guide to Rolex Nicknames

Rolex has a remarkable history of creating high quality timepieces that are as fashionable as they are functional. Their range of sophisticated wristwatches have traveled to the darkest depths of the ocean and reached the tallest peaks in the world, cementing the brand’s status as a leader in luxury and precision watchmaking. It’s no wonder Rolex has such a loyal following of enthusiasts who’re passionate about collecting the brand’s most elusive and impressive watch models. Along with drawing fans from every corner of the globe, Rolex watches have picked up quite a few nicknames over the years that, while not officially recognized by Rolex, have become widely accepted in the watch world. If you’re considering starting your own collection of Rolex watches, there’s much to learn. Start by checking out our complete guide to Rolex nicknames, so you can feel like an expert when it comes time to shop!
Rolex Pepsi
In the early 1950’s, Rolex teamed up with Pan American Airlines to design a watch for their team of pilots. This led to the design of the Rolex GMT-Master with a red and blue bezel that matched the airline’s color scheme. Not only did this watch display a second time zone, its unique, dual colored bezel also allowed Pan Am’s pilots to quickly differentiate between daytime and nighttime hours. Nowadays, you’ll hear this watch model referred to as the “Pepsi” because of its resemblance to the soda brand’s classic red, white, and blue logo.
Rolex Coca-Cola
When Rolex first debuted the GMT-Master II, it included a sleek, solid black bezel. They later introduced the two-tone black and red variation, dubbed the “Coca-Cola.” Though the famed beverage maker’s official colors are red and white, the overall arrangement of the stainless-steel watch with the black and red details resembles that of a refreshing can of Coke.
Rolex Root Beer
Falling in line with the soda theme, Rolex released a brown and gold GMT-Master in the 1960’s that came to be known as the “Root Beer” GMT. This Rolex GMT-Master features a caramel brown dial and two-tone brown and gold bezel, bringing to mind the image of a frothy glass of root beer. A genuine Rolex enthusiast may refer to the “Root Beer” GMT by another nickname, “Dirty Harry,” a reference to Clint Eastwood’s famous film character who brought the watch to the silver screen.
Rolex Kermit
In 2003, the iconic Rolex Submariner celebrated its 50th anniversary. The Swiss watchmaker commemorated the occasion by specially releasing a new Submariner model with a jet black dial and a bright green bezel. The watch earned the nickname “Kermit” after the beloved Muppet character. The “Kermit” Submariner was also the first watch to introduce the Maxi dial which includes larger hour markers than former models.
Rolex Hulk
Another green Rolex Submariner, nicknamed the “Hulk,” was released at Baselworld 2010. In addition to a green bezel, this Submariner features a rich green dial to match, plus a bulkier case and wider lugs that go hand in hand with its superhero moniker. The “Hulk” happens to also be the first Submariner to have a matching dial and bezel in a color other than black or blue.
Rolex Batman
If you prefer DC over Marvel, you’ll surely appreciate the “Batman” Rolex GMT-Master II. The combination of a black dial, dual-tone black and blue bezel, and blue 24 hour hands looks like something straight out of Gotham City. This is by far one of Rolex’s most popular GMT-Master II models, earning a huge following since its initial release in 2014.
Rolex Polar
The Rolex Explorer series caters to thrill seeking adventurers, designed to withstand the most extreme conditions. In fact, legend has it the first watch to reach the peak of Mount Everest was an early prototype of the Explorer. When Rolex released the Explorer II, they also introduced a white dial version. This contrasted with the stainless steel case gives the watch an icy cool appearance that inspired its nickname, the “Polar” Explorer.
Rolex Smurf
Rolex’s reference 116619 Submariner is one of the brand’s most impressive watch models, though you wouldn’t guess it from its nickname—the “Smurf.” These timepieces are crafted from 18-karat white gold, and include a matching electric blue dial and bezel that inspire its cartoonish name. The “Smurf” Submariner is favored by celebrities and athletes for its high quality craftsmanship and exceptional style. It’s no wonder this watch tends to be a little pricier than other Rolex models.
Rolex Double Red Sea-Dweller
When commercial diving company COMEX needed a divers watch that could reach the deepest depths of the sea, they naturally turned to one of the most exclusive watch manufacturers in the world. Rolex crafted the “Double Red Sea-Dweller,” nicknamed for the two tiny lines of red text on the dial that read “SEA-DWELLER SUBMARINER 2000.” Because the original Sea-Dwellers were just variations of the Submariner, the watch bore both names on its dial. The watch was produced for a decade between 1967 and 1977, and was the first to feature a Helium Escape Valve that allowed the watch to function at depths up to 2,000 feet.
Rolex Great White
After Rolex ceased production of the “Double Red Sea-Dweller,” they replaced it with a new version that had some slight modifications. First, the brand removed the Submariner label, drawing a clear distinction between the Submariner and Sea-Dweller collections. The red text that gave the “Double Red Sea-Dweller” its epithet was replaced with white lettering, inspiring a new nickname—the “Great White.”
Rolex Stelline
For an avid Rolex collector, few watch models are more coveted than the reference 6062, better known as “Stelline.” Rolex manufactured the watch for three short years during the 1950’s, making them highly valuable and difficult to come by. In addition to their rarity, the “Stelline” is one of only two Rolex watches to ever feature a triple calendar function and moonphase. You can identify a “Stelline” by its hour markers, which are either triangular or star-shaped. “Stelline” translates to “little star” in Italian, hence the watch’s celestial moniker.
Rolex Solo
Generally, Rolex watch dials tend to include lines of text such as the watch’s name as well as special features or functions. However, a handful of Rolex Daytona’s were designed to be free of any text other than the Rolex brand name. These vintage Daytonas are few and far between and are known simply as “Solo” for their unelaborate dial.
Rolex Fat Lady/Sophia Loren
The first GMT-Master II that Rolex produced was the reference 16760, which also marked the brand’s first separately adjustable 24-hour hand. This particular GMT- Master II was only manufactured in stainless steel and had a red and black “Coca-Cola” bezel insert. Additionally, this specific model features a thicker case and bezel, and larger crown guards than previous ones. For this reason, the watch was nicknamed the “Fat Lady.” You’ll also sometimes hear the watch referred to as “Sophia Loren,” a title that hints at the timepiece’s curvier appearance.
Rolex Padellone
Much like the “Stelline,” the Rolex “Padellone” reference 8171 is one of the most collectible Rolex watches in existence. The word “Padellone” is Italian for “large frying pan,” a nod to the watch’s unusually large case. Measuring 38 mm in diameter, the Rolex “Padellone” was the first of its kind, as the average size of a men’s wristwatch in the 1940s was no more than 35 mm. Aside from redefining fashion norms of the day, the “Padellone” is the only Rolex watch, aside from the “Stelline,” to have a triple calendar function and moonphase. When it comes to rare vintage Rolex’s, the “Padellone” reference 8171 is a collector’s holy grail. Getting your hands on one of these treasured timepieces can prove quite the challenge, especially since Rolex is rumored to have produced less than a thousand of them.
Rolex President
Surely you’ve heard a Rolex Day-Date referred to as a Rolex “President.” Though the name “President” actually indicates the style of bracelet, it seems to have stuck thanks to a number of U.S. presidents who’ve publicly worn a Day-Date. This watch is often mistakenly associated with President Dwight D. Eisenhower, though in fact he never owned one. Instead Eisenhower wore a Rolex Datejust which had several features in common with modern Rolex “President” Day-Dates.
Rolex Paul Newman
In the 1960s, Rolex experimented with their Cosmograph Daytona, releasing the classic watch with a new and unique dial. Unfortunately for the Swiss watchmaker, the redesign was a flop, and sales of the watch were lackluster. That is, until legendary actor and race car driver Paul Newman sported one during a magazine photo shoot. Not only did he help launch the watch into super-stardom, he also gave the timepiece its famous nickname—the “Paul Newman.” When Paul Newman’s personal Cosmograph Daytona went up for sale, it sold for a staggering $17.75 million, making it the most expensive wristwatch ever sold at auction at the time.
Rolex James Cameron
The Mariana Trench is the ocean’s deepest point, with a depth of nearly 36,000 feet. Few have braved the dangers of exploring these uncharted waters, and only a handful of missions have ever been successfully completed. But, in 2012, with the help of Rolex, filmmaker James Cameron completed the first solo dive mission to the depths of the Mariana Trench, spending an unprecedented three hours exploring the unexplored. To commemorate such a historical moment, Rolex released a special edition Deepsea Sea-Dweller. The watch features a gradated dial that transitions from deep blue to jet black, representing Cameron’s descent into the sea. Additionally, the word “DEEPSEA” is printed to match the color of Cameron’s submersible, the Deep Sea Challenger. As you might imagine, the watch has come to be known as the “James Cameron.”
Rolex Steve McQueen
The original Rolex Explorer II reference 1655, is often called by its nickname, the “Steve McQueen.” However, the famous actor never actually wore this particular watch, preferring his stainless steel Submariner instead. The connection between the two stems from McQueen’s appearance in a 1970s advertising campaign that was organized to help boost the watch’s unimpressive sales. The campaign stuck in people’s minds, and the Explorer II came to forever be known as the “Steve McQueen.”
Rolex James Bond
Rolex watches are widely recognized for their appearance in the iconic James Bond films. When Sean Connery made his debut as the charming super spy in Dr. No, he donned a Rolex Submariner reference 6538, known as the original “James Bond” Submariner. The watch featured an over-sized crown and had no crown guards, distinguishing it from later Submariner models. Throughout the years, Bond has worn a variety of watches including alternate styles from Rolex, as well as Omega, Seiko, and more. But, for serious aficionados, the reference 6538 Submariner will always be the true “James Bond” Rolex watch.
Rolex Jean-Claude Killy
Between the 1940s and 1960s, Rolex produced a collection of triple calendar chronographs for the Rolex Dato-Compax series. These watches came to be known as the “Jean-Claude Killy” Rolexes after the famous champion skier who served as one of the brand’s ambassadors, and later as a board member. Though Killy was never actually photographed wearing one of these watches, it’s assumed that he owned one given his close ties to the brand and his appearance in numerous Rolex ad campaigns.
Rolex John Player Special
A Rolex Daytona “Paul Newman” is a rarity prized by collectors from around the world, and the “John Player Special” model within this collection is no exception. The Rolex Daytona “Paul Newman” reference 6241, was designed with a yellow gold case, black acrylic bezel, and a black dial that resembled the race cars driven by the Lotus Formula One team. Naturally, the watch was nicknamed for the team’s sponsor, the John Player & Sons ‘Specials’ cigarette brand.

To help narrow your search, we’ve assembled a list of the best dress watches for men, from Rolex to Cartier and everything in between!
1. Rolex Cellini
The Cellini is quite a departure from the large, sturdy tool watches that Rolex is best known for. Instead, this dress watch has been dubbed the Tuxedo watch for its classic, sophisticated style that pairs flawlessly with a suit and tie. Crafted exclusively from 18k gold and fitted with a stitched alligator leather strap, the Cellini is the epitome of elegance and refinement. If you’re searching for a timepiece that demonstrates the rich, storied tradition of watchmaking, then the Rolex Cellini is the perfect dress watch for you.
2. Cartier Tank
The Cartier Tank is one of the most iconic dress watches of all time, recently celebrating its 100th anniversary. Inspired by the French Renault tanks used in WWI, the Cartier Tank offers the ideal balance of style and simplicity. Some unique features of this watch include a distinctive rectangular case and classic Roman numeral dial. Though Cartier has reinterpreted the Tank for various re-releases, they’ve remained devoted to Louis Cartier’s original conception which earned the brand a loyal following of noteworthy figures. Legends like Andy Warhol, Frank Sinatra, and Princess Diana all famously sported Cartier Tanks in their time.
3. Omega De Ville
Omega is best known for their famed Seamaster and Speedmaster collections, but it’s the Omega De Ville that takes the cake as the manufacturer’s finest dress watch. The timepiece was once a part of a line of dress watches belonging to the Seamaster series, but was later launched as its own signature line. Like most Omega watches, the De Ville collection boasts a series of sub-collections including the Ladymatic, Hour Vision, Trésor, Prestige, and Tourbillon watches. Though each model offers something different, the Omega De Ville has a distinct, streamlined design that looks polished and pristine on the wrist, no matter what you’re wearing.
4. IWC Portofino
Modeled after the minimalistic style of a pocket watch, the IWC Portofino sets the standard for best dress watches. The Portofino is perfectly understated, so whether you prefer a laid back look, or something more elegant, this watch offers the best of both worlds. The watch’s dial is clean and uncluttered, with easy-to-read hour markers and thin hands for optimal timekeeping. Choose a lavish leather strap for black-tie occasions, or opt for a stainless steel mesh bracelet to give this classic timepiece a more modern, casual feel.
5. Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso
Impress any watch enthusiast by sporting a Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso, a cult classic in the world of luxury dress watches. The unique, rectangular design of the Reverso is unmistakable and sure to spark a few conversations. Since its unveiling in 1931, the Reverso has remained largely unchanged, a testament to the watch’s icon status. Paired with your best sports coat, this watch is as sleek and stylish as they come.
6. Patek Philippe Calatrava
The Calatrava is the quintessential round dress watch, produced by one of the most sought after watch brands in the world. Inspired by the Bauhaus art movement of 20th century Germany, the Calatrava features little ornamentation, and emphasizes harmony between function and form. But, don’t let the modest design fool you, this watch is as luxurious as anything you’d expect from Patek Philippe. Each watch is meticulously crafted by hand, evidence of the brand’s longstanding commitment to superb craftsmanship.
7. Vacheron Constantin Patrimony
Manufactured by one of the oldest watchmakers in the world, the Patrimony is a nod to times past, an embodiment of tradition and heritage. Though its origins are rooted in horological history, this watch is far from old-fashioned. The watch’s case is slender, the dial clean and simple, with hands that taper into a sharp, distinct point. What the Patrimony lacks in frills and complications, it makes up for in style. If you’re a sharply dressed dude who prefers pieces that are subtly stylish over something bold and ostentatious, look no further than the Vacheron Constantin Patrimony.
